Anki is a flashcard application that makes remembering information much more effortless. The application will help decrease the amount of time you spend studying while increasing the amount of information you learn. Despite its age, this deck is still an extremely valuable comprehensive Anki Deck for preparing for the MCAT. It includes plenty of images, links to resources, and good visual formatting.

Using jacksparrow2048, you might be working through Anki cards that you will almost certainly never see on the actual MCAT. However, the MileDown deck is one you can work through efficiently to potentially avoid experiencing Anki burnout. Many students enjoy MileDown’s cards for their ease of use and simplicity, as well as the guidance towards Khan Academy’s explanations if needed. Comprehensive MCAT resource, and generally very well made. This is a deck you can use about 5 months out from your official MCAT test date to make sure that you are adequately working through important material.

As we’ve discussed here at Test Prep Nerds extensively in other MCAT guides, Kaplan is one of the more popular prep brands that students use to study for the MCAT. I enjoyed this deck because of its copious number of illustrations and graphics that accompany the cards. If you learn best by way of visual stimulation – as an estimated 65% of Americans do based on social science research – MileDown’s deck is for you.

What’s incredibly useful about this deck is the way it’s been uploaded. Simple pick the chapter you want to cover and upload it into Anki. The deck is another based off the Kaplan MCAT book series and is widely used for its bio and biochem cards more specifically. You’ll also need the image occlusion plugin for a good number of cards.

You can use this to create personalized study sessions and go to town on learning difficult amino acid names and structures. The hierarchical tags plugin is excellent, and you can lock and unlock topics as you go. With this deck, NextLevelColor scored a whopping 519 points. The cards are mostly in mcat study schedule template excel the cloze format, with links to Khan Academy or YouTube whenever possible. Of course, many of these disadvantages are avoidable by devoting some time to learning how to use Anki effectively. This is probably one of the biggest drawbacks of Anki; learning how to use the software can take some time.
