For any student whom wants to attend Kutztown, I wish you luck, and highly recommend it. I am currently living on campus at Kutztown University and cannot describe how much I enjoy it. There are constantly activities going on within every dorm in order to get students familiar with processes of school, as well as with others living with them in their dorm. While walking around campus, it is only on an extremely rare occasion that you will ever see someone who does not pass a smiling face back at you. In general, the people at Kutztown University are very kind-hearted, and would be more than willing to lend a helping hand if someone needed it, in any way they knew how, for anyone.
So if you love the city life, this may not be the place for you. Kutztown University is great for those students who come from a high school where everyone knows each other. You will definitely not get lost in the crowd…but it’s just the right size to give you the freedom of independence. I am financing my entire way through school, so it is important to save as much money as possible, so I am not worrying about having to pay back loans for the rest of my life.
On the very first day of classes, I could tell things here were so much different. Academics here ARE very important, and professors have equal respect for you and really do care about how you do in their class. They let you know that they are always ready to help you and to never feel like a question you may ask is going to be stupid. Believe me, this school is the place to go if your looking for an affordable state school that is challenging. If existing developments in housing and meal expenses go on, we expect incoming first year students in 2022 to be charged about $16,397 in their first year of college.

Most apartments are four-person, five-person, or six-person, however there are also limited number of efficiency apartments for one-person available in Dixon Hall.

Kutztown University’s Lehigh Hall was originally built in 1962. While some colleges and universities have opted to update their housing by building brand-new dorms with modern suite-style living, Kutztown was committed to the traditional style of dorm Lehigh Hall offered. The University believes suite-style living isolates students, as they no longer have reasons to interact in the corridors, common rooms or study lounges because most amenities are included inside the suites. Instead, Kutztown’s goal was to renovate the existing dormitory to provide students with upgraded facilities to meet their needs.
