Be sure to get a large eye yarn needle when working with such chunky yarn too. Another Big Twist yarn I work with is their cotton line. This summer I stocked up on a variety of worsted weight cotton in mostly neutral colors. I’m Krista, and I’ve been creating modern crochet patterns since 2010. I’m a big believer that crochet should be both simple and beautiful.
With Big Twist Value, each skein I’ve used (which is a variety of colors!) have all been the same size and having the uniformity makes me feel confident when working with it. The first thing I consider when looking for a yarn is how consistent each top down crochet sweater pattern skein is with one another. Often with yarn, I notice that if I use the yarn from the color A skein compared to the color B skein, the sizing will be slightly off and not consistent. This can make your projects look off especially when designing.
This Fall issue has six cozy projects to keep you warm through Spring! This shawl you see here is the Autumn Ivy Wrap. Big Twist Value Yarn is a yarn for big projects that just need to be made.
Big Twist yarn is the Joann yarn brand line. This affordable yarn line includes a variety of yarn weights, from worsted weight to super bulky yarns. This cotton yarn works well for easy crochet patterns like dishcloths and washcloths. I use the variegated color Pewter in my recent mug rug pattern.
From the inside to outside of the basket, pull the tail through the stitch. Then relocate the 3rd ch from the ch 3 and pull the tail back through the ch. When working your stitches, make sure that you are scooting your stitches all the way onto your hook. This ensures that your loops are reaching their proper size, in comparison to the hook you are using.
