There is parking at the top of the hill and an easy hike down, but a bit more effort coming back up. During the summer months (mid June – August), a minibus is offered for €1 each way, to/from the naturist beach. On this beach we can already appreciate very well what was the natural environment of Malaga before the massive construction. It is a long and wide sandy beach situated next to the mouth of the Guadalhorce river and the golf course.

Like most of the island’s beaches, there’s a shortage of facilities and amenities on the sands, which helps to keep them unspoilt. Like you’d expect though, the scenery is stunning and the sand is scattered with volcanic rocks. Beautiful cliffs and surfer waves surround this expansive beach. The sand is excellent for laying bare, the waves ideal for surfing, and the cliffs perfect for paragliding.

But it’s possible to rent the whole property with a family. Finca Soñada is a wonderful and green place for people who love naturism. This B&B has 3 guest rooms and one bungalow which are equipped with all comfort and facilities. Naturist resorts have been popular in Spain for quite some time and can mostly be found at the Mediterranean coast and the islands. If there is no such individual constitutional right, then local authorities can exercise the legal rights they possess to ban nudity. We’re not going to elaborate on the advantages of family naturism here, but this is an excellent example of how some things, although legal, are still not socially accepted. The reason why people complained in the first place was not that they thought that the lady was doing something illegal, but because they didn’t think that her nudity was appropriate. Soon the police would arrive and ask her to put some clothes on. Once again, she would explain that it is her legal right to be naked on the beach and that it’s up to the authorities to protect that right instead of taking it away from her. Kindly but firmly, the police officers would insist that she either got dressed or moved away.

Ciudad Jardin is technically just another hostel in Granada’s Jardin neighborhood except that they have a clothing-optional terrace. This makes Ciudad Jardin pretty much the only place in the city of Malaga where you can be naked outside of your room. The other communal areas of the hostel are not clothing optional. Popular among Spanish couples, but lots of cases of voyeurs have been reported. The only thing I don’t like about those choices is the mandatory nudity in the last place you mentioned. It’s my body and I get to decide what, if any, bits of textile gets hung on it!

The author personally does not know this beach, but we haven´t received the best references, as there is a mixed environment, plus it seems the beach is not very looked after. Thus we list it as one of the nudist beaches of Malaga, but not as one of the most recommended. Also in Sitges is this small and intimate nudist beach, nested under the cliffs naked beach in spain of El Garraf. This hidden cove is perfect for those seeking peace and quiet away from the crowds. Again, it can only be accessed by car and it has a parking area which is rather expensive – given it’s the only option. Although nudism is allowed on this central beach, changes to the area have meant it’s become less common in recent years.

It is one of the most well-known nudist beaches in Andalusia and is set in the midst of the cliffs of Maro-Cerro Gordo nature area, so direct contact with nature is assured. What’s more, it has showers, beach bars, sunbeds… Take note that access by car is restricted in the summer, so you will need to walk or use the shuttle service. Es Trenc beach, located on the island of Majorca, is often considered as one of the most beautiful in Spain or even in Europe. Indeed, its turquoise blue water and its fine white sand, make us think of a paradise setting. It is possible to park for free, or to arrive by bus at 100 m from the nudist beach. In the background, the pine forests overlooking the fine white sand transform the playa of Es Trenc into one of the most beautiful beaches to practice topless, nudism or naturism in Spain.
