I have the goalie bag in grey and it’s pretty good quality and definitely feels nice. Not the best trunk ‘stuffing’ though with it’s internals. Included ccm as3 pro stick mesh bag works well and I like the dry clothes compartment on top. Went and looked at my oldest sons’ bags from their old club in the States…

I always picture a “pro bag” as a huge duffle with everything just dumped in it… No fancy pockets, dividers, mesh or venting. I want it to have at least dedicated skate pockets.

The divider makes the compartments smaller than I’d like to fit my gear and I already have a mesh laundry bag. What I do like about the Player bag is the pocket on the lid to put your jersey and socks and stuff. If you’ve never done this, be sure to bring your gear into a hockey shop and try fitting it into whatever bag you are looking to purchase. This is how I found out the dividers were garbage .

The Varsity bag is the same size, made of the same interior/exterior materials, and has the same interior pockets so it’s basically an open box. You can buy the skate sleeves separately and sew them into the side of the bag to hold your skates. Now the Varsity bag is just about perfect. THE PR POND PACK

I’ve been using the Grit Airbag for two years now. Really like it and it’s held up very well. Only issue I have is when it rains…gear can get wet going from the car to the rink. The other side of that is that it never gets skunky in the bag because there is always airflow.

The downsides are the price and the bag in and of itself is quite meaty and large. The protective skate sleeves, though useful are bulky, almost like carrying two extra laptop bags within the player bag. You are definitely not taking the PRPB to the rink in your miata or roadster.
