The seventh annual Denver Beer Festivusunited craft beer, tasty treats and 1990s nostalgia for one big non-denominational partay. The event also included Lucha Libre, comedy, a silent disco and a holiday market. Six food vendors and more than 50 breweries and cideries kept those bellys full like a bowl full of jelly. In a holiday season littered with White Elephants, tinsel and ugly sweaters, I think it’s safe to say what we really care about is cutting straight to the booze and debauchery.
At the Statehouse, she’s been a proponent of criminal justice reform, law enforcement accountability and harm reduction. Denverites will be debating whether these are the right solutions to ensuring the city is safe. For $40 and a dream, beer drinkers can sample the offerings of more than four dozen Denver-based breweries under one roof.
With nearly fifty local breweries in attendance, this year’s Denver Beer Festivus was a huge success. It marked the eighth year of the Seinfeld-themed party put on by Two Parts, who invited every craft beer maker within Denver city limits. Feats of strength, the Festivus pole, the airing of grievances and a whole herd of ugly-sweater wearers made for the weirdest non-traditional holiday party in town.
Denver Beer Festivus, which returns Saturday afternoon from 3-6pm with a VIP hour at 2pm, cuts to the chase with 60 Denver-based breweries in attendance. DENVER – Oct. 7, 2013 – Denver hosts more than its fair share of beer festivals. However, none of these events showcase Denver breweries quite like the Denver Beer Festivus, a beer festival for the rest of us. Last year’s festival featured 19 breweries with roughly 500 craft beer enthusiasts and a dance party. This year’s Festivus will feature at least 24 breweries, from established breweries beer drinkers have come to know and love, to the breweries that are just opening their doors. The Great American Beer Festival , the country’s largest ticketed beer festival, will skip its public event in 2021 and return in person to celebrate its 40th anniversary October 6-8, 2022 at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver.
This years edition spread out over several rooms making it easy to navigate from brewery to brewery with little to no lines. Food was a plenty as a food court had everything from warm pretzels to pizza for homebrew hunter walk vcs screendoor you to enjoy. A silent disco was on site providing for some amazing tunes by some of Denvers best DJ’s. If you have never been to one of these we highly suggest you put it on your radar for next year.
